Vantage Point is a curated series of regular publications that showcase exciting new Canadian art talent in curated art publications. The aim of these publications is to bridge the geography across the Canadian art-scape and to introduce enthusiasts, collectors and galleries to new work by established and emerging artists.
V.A.P. is committed to offering inclusive opportunities for artists. Blind, open artist calls are held for inclusion in this published exhibition. The final selections are made by a juror appointed
from a pool of knowledgeable contemporary art professionals including curators,
gallery directors and critics.
The artist pays an administrative fee for each submission, and each publication
features approximately 40 artists in a curated theme. Selected artists are
featured at no additional cost. Selected artists are featured on a double-page spread which includes a large
reproduction of their work plus a smaller-sized image and brief biographical
information. Contact information, including gallery representation is included.
The call for submissions will be of a thematic nature, and will include a variety of artistic mediums. The format of some issues of Vantage Point will include DVD publications for sound, animation and video artworks.
Publications that are similar to ours include "New American Paintings" by Open Studios Press.
Our publications are available through the Vantage Art Projects online bookstore and through
participating gallery and retail locations. |
