Takao Tanabe is a significant contemporary Canadian artist active in painting and printmaking for over six decades. Amongst other recognition, he has received the Order of Canada, the Order of British Columbia, and the Governor General’s Award for in Visual and Media Arts. VAP produced the exhibition catalog, postcards, and photo documentation for the Nikkei National museum exhibition of Takao Tanabe, 35 Sumie.
